JD7400 PTO Repair

JD7400 PTO Repair

I just did the PTO repair on my tractor, and I am going to post here the steps I took to get the repair done.
I hope this helps someone else.
This repair is done on a 1997 JD 6400 that has 9500 hours.
I’ve only had it for 2 years, and I have no idea how it was treated for most of its life.
Original problem –
The power take-off started but had no power.
After removing the shaft from the PTO, I see that the transmission splines are torn off in the shaft of the PTO and in the output shaft (female part).
I try to attach photos of each of these steps.

PTO Housing Removal –
Placing the lift arms in the raised position
Drain the hydraulic fluid
Remove the (2) screws from the speed sensor cover with a 7mm Allen wrench/
